Ten years ago the law firm entered the Portuguese market offering a range of innovative legal services.<\/h2>\n<p>Starting from a strong performance in basic practice areas such as labour, health and administrative law and public procurement, which it maintains, BAS has diversified its activity into corporate law, real estate and immigration law, aviation law or sports law and has strengthened its activity in data protection, positioning itself as a wide-range law firm in its practice areas.<\/p>\n<p>The founding partners,<a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/artur-filipe-da-silva\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Artur Filipe da Silva<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/claudia-monge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cl\u00e1udia Monge<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/dalia-cardadeiro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">D\u00e1lia Cardadeiro<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/jane-kirkby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jane Kirkby<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/marco-real-martins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marco Real Martins<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/miguel-salvador\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miguel Salvador<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/nuno-miguel-vieira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nuno Miguel Vieira <\/a>and<a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/pedro-madeira-de-brito\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Pedro Madeira de Brito<\/a>, are now joined by <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/sergio-alves-ribeiro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S\u00e9rgio Alves Ribeiro<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bas.pt\/en\/equipa\/marco-aurelio-constantino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marco Aur\u00e9lio Constantino<\/a> in the continuous effort to build a successful and growing law firm.<\/p>\n<p>Over these ten years the team has become stronger with the integration of new lawyers, increasing its response capacity and specialisation in new practice areas.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, BAS started its expansion plan and in 2013 extended its presence to Portuguese-speaking countries having established the Legalline desk office in Maputo. The law firm is attentive to new realities and tries to respond to different markets.<\/p>\n<p>BAS has been present in international directories and rankings, namely in <em>Chambers<\/em>, <em>Legal 500<\/em>, <em>40 under Fort<\/em>y and <em>Best Lawyers<\/em>\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>BAS&#8217;s challenge is to meet its initial targets and be prepared for those of 2020:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening of its activity in the practice areas of Public Law, public procurement and in the monitoring of large public procurement projects;<\/li>\n<li>Development of projects in the areas of mediation and arbitration;<\/li>\n<li>Growing its expertise in Health Law;<\/li>\n<li>Consolidation of the data protection sector in view of the new regulatory framework;<\/li>\n<li>Search for labour legislation related issues inside and outside the European Union;<\/li>\n<li>Continue its activity in public employment, namely in special careers;<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcement of its activity in prominent areas, in which BAS has been providing legal support services such as real estate, immigration and foreign investment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Legal knowledge with value <\/em>is BAS\u2019s present and future motto and the cornerstone of its added value.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In January, BAS marks its 10th anniversary.
