National meeting on Public Contracts and Community Funds

The National Meeting on the new diploma of Public Contracts and Funds will take place at the Academy of Sciences, in Lisbon, on September 10th, organized by APMEP – Portuguese Association of Public Markets with the support of the Academy of Sciences and COMEGI.

Marco Real Martins, partner at BAS and member of the board of APMEP, will participate as a speaker in one of the sessions on Law 30/2021 and the new regulatory requirements on Public Procurement financed by the EU.

Public procurement in Portugal assumes a growing role in the various sectors, surpassing the threshold of 15% of GDP, corresponding to a high percentage of the revenue of more than 60% of companies.

Current challenges associated with the need to effectively use new community funds that will finance most public contracts and no less important will be to clarify and enhance the important legislative changes contained in Law 30/2021, in addition to the other changes contained in the diplomas associated with Covid-19 contracting.

These are the main objectives at the base of this National Meeting dedicated to the analysis of Law 30/2021 and the new regulatory requirements, judging them to be of the greatest relevance for all who intervene in public markets, whether as buyers or sellers.
