Paulo Pinto Pereira joins the BAS team

BAS – Sociedade de Advogados, S.P., R.L. has added Paulo Pinto Pereira to its team. With his knowledge and experience, he has strengthened its Public Law practice, especially in Administrative Litigation and Environmental Law, and boosted its Energy Law practice.

He founded Luis Costa, Pinto Pereira, Advogados, R.L. between 2014 and 2023, having moved from Nobre Guedes, Mota Soares & Associados as an Associate Lawyer between 2011 and 2014. In 2010, he took on the role of Advisor to the Secretary of State for Energy and Innovation, having previously worked as an associate at FDR – Flamínio Roza, Pinto Duarte, Côrte-Real & Associados (2005-2010).

Paulo Pinto Pereira has a law degree of Law by the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, a postgraduate degree in Administrative and Tax Litigation from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, and a master’s degree from the School of the Portuguese Catholic University in Energy and Administrative Law, on the subject of “Energy Efficiency Management Contracts: Legal Nature and Substantive Regime”.

In addition to his experience in Administrative Law and Administrative Litigation, Paulo Pinto Pereira has other areas of expertise as Environmental Law, particularly in the regulatory field, Public Procurement, Labour Law, and Energy Law. The reinforcement of the Public Law team “allows us to increase our response capacity and support the demanding level of legal services that the firm offers its clients,” says the firm’s Board of Directors.
